Disney Round 2

Hello Disneyland! We're back again! But first, bacon for breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is the only meal Eleanor doesn't eat mac n' cheese.

 Feasting!

We were there as the park gates were thrown open. Pluto escorted the family into the park. If only they were this happy to skip to school in the morning.

 DISNEYLAND!
We headed over to the half of the park we hadn't seen yet, New Orleans Square and Frontier Land. Poor Jefferson is just half an inch shy on some rides. Sometimes they let him in, sometimes not. The Big Thunder measuring team said no, so we took turns with the other kids while Jefferson watched the steamboats. Then we did the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, back to back. Adelaide had mixed feelings, complaining, "Oh, you would do skeletons right after haunting me!" So, we followed that up with Winnie the Pooh, nothing scary there. Jefferson laughed and laughed because he thought Pooh was eating paint, which is silly (he's got a point, that yellow stuff doesn't look much like honey).

 Stealing Mom's Sun Glasses

We also did Buzz Lightyear's ride before it got crowded. Steven decided that this was his favorite ride at Disneyland. He'd appreciate having it relocated to Cars Land so all his favorite things would be in the same place.

 Pew! Pew! Pew!

While Matt took Adelaide on Space Mountain (a few times since she had all our fast passes), Melinda took the other kids to Casey Jr. They rode this one on Saturday and Steven loved being in the monkey cage. This time, we were on the seats, but we still pretended to be monkeys.

Casey Jr.'s coming round the track!

Steven liked being a circus animal on the train,
Jefferson love the view of the castles.

Adelaide rejoined us and we went looking for lunch. Yes, Eleanor had more mac n cheese. But, we also got the kids beignets, which they thought were fabulous.

 So strong!

Going round and around

Do we have to pose? We wanna eat!

 Mint Julep Style

 Like that sugar 'stache

 Jefferson Squish Hug!

We did more rides, including the Jungle Cruise and Indian Jones. Eleanor kept her eyes closed so she wouldn't be cursed. Not falling for that again! Take that Disney! Then, we headed to check out the Star Wars exhibit. We even met Darth Vader there. He asked the kids to join the Dark Side. They didn't reply. They may have all tried to hide behind Mom and Dad. When we left, we asked when they didn't say anything. Adelaide replied, "Well, we can't join the Dark Side... but you can't say no to Darth Vader!"

Matt sharing his Star Wars love.

What's it take to get a drink in this town?

The kids made sure there was some space between us
and Darth Vader for the picture.

Nice Lego Space Ship Adelaide!

 Man Down!

We took the crew down to dinner on Main Street, using the coupons that came with our vacation package to score a nice meal (and mac n' cheese for Eleanor). We checked out the shops. And, though Mom and Dad wouldn't spring the $30+ for the kids to get Mickey/Minnie ears, they could still try them all on.

 Adelaide's favorite pair!

Eleanor liked pink with oh-so-many sparkles.

At the Carnation Cafe

 Matt

 Matt + Girls

 Melinda and the malt
that she won't share.

 That's okay, Steven somehow
found two drinks.
