Home Sweet Home

We're homeowners again! After months of searching, and several lost bids, we finally closed on a home at the end of July. It's a beautiful 4-bedroom twin home in Sorrento Valley (right between Mira Mesa and Carmel Valley). Our first home with a garage! Our cars are so excited. The location is perfect for us, just 5 minutes from the kids' school, 10 minutes from Melinda's work and 15 from Matt's. We don't even have to jump on any overcrowded Southern Californian freeways. The neighborhood feels a lot like our last location. There is an HOA making sure lawns and driveways are neat and tidy. A community pool and spa is just one block away, and a large park is just across the road from the neighborhood. Perfect! Adelaide's Golden Birthday

Adelaide's birthday week was nothing short of awesome. She loved every minute of it! Our siblings have not blessed us with nieces and nephews, as of yet, so we are always so excited when Melinda's cousins let us borrow their kids for some second cousin partying. Not to mention that her cousins are just amazingly fun to do things with, kids or no kids. Erin and her three children came into town the weekend before Adelaide's birthday, and we were able to see them everyday during the week. It was non-stop playing for the kids.  Hanging out at Granny and Poppa's house. Tanner was fearless about diving into the bushes after his quarry. On Wednesday, we were both able to take work off to go to Legoland with the crew.
