Business Women

The girls really, really, really wanted tablets to play on. Melinda explained to them how much tablets cost and invited them to save up.

By golly, they did it! Birthday money, tooth fairy money, chores money. It took a few months, but by Black Friday they had enough money to buy Kids Kindle Fire Tablets on sale from Amazon. Go girls!

But wait! Disaster. Their piggy banks are emptier than an ice cream shop in January. And, they so badly want to buy the boys a really, really cool Christmas present. Probably Hot Wheels. Maybe some trains.

What to do?

Well, shortly after realizing they were out of funds, Adelaide announced that she and Eleanor were now business women. Their business, mistletoe.

They quickly secured a supplier to climb the ladder and cut their mistletoe down (thanks Dad), and a manufacturing partner to help them make the hanging sprigs (thanks Mom). Advertising and marketing signage they could handle themselves. Adelaide did the writing, Eleanor added the stickers.

Between friends at church and Mom's co-workers, the girls were able to pay back mom for the ribbon and still pocket enough money to go to Target and pick out some nice shiny toy cars. Way to go little entrepreneurs!
