Thanksgiving was so busy this year. We didn't take nearly enough pictures of the actual event. Aunt Sally came down and did the bulk of the dishes, while we provided the turkey and pies. Uncle David helped entertain the kids. All the grandparents joined us. It was so fun.
We did take pictures of pie making adventures in the morning. The girls were excited to be in charge of the pies, and wanted to do all the classics, plus an extra one for fun. We made apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and a no bake key lime. The girls had a blast busting out multiple pies, even if we cheated and didn't make our own crusts. Though, we did go shopping late and had to have them bring out the pre-made crust from the inventory in the back, since it had been sold out. So, there was effort involved!

Adelaide was especially proud of the crust pumpkin
decoration on the pumpkin pie.
Look! We made a turkey too.

And, throwing this picture in for fun. We did go out to check out Black Friday sales in the afternoon, after things died down. It's a good time to stock up on kids' clothes and shoes because they are usually pretty discounted. While out, we got Adelaide another Harry Potter shirt because it was more than half off. She already has three... but seemed pretty excited to add a fourth to her wardrobe. Honestly, she'd probably go for a few more if we let her. But, we're not sure if Eleanor wants to inherit an all-Hogwarts wardrobe. So, we make Adelaide diversify.
Looking good Adelaide!
