Ronald McDonald House + Seaworld

This Saturday, we got the opportunity to help set Christmas decorations out at the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald really helped us throughout Jefferson's surgeries, providing a safe place to breathe, get some food, and square your shoulders before returning to the hospital room. So, we were grateful for the opportunity to help decorate and spread some cheer for other families.

We were put in charge of the outdoor wreaths, a responsibility the kids took very seriously. After we hung the wreaths, they put ornaments up on the indoor trees. There were dozens of volunteers, and within an hour, everything looked amazingly festive.

Getting out the wreaths.

Boys carried them all over the balcony.

Hanging them up.

Decorating the tree.

Super posed dude.

Hanging with the man himself.

After hanging decorations, we decided to head down to Sea World to check out their decorations. They had put up their Rudolph scenes, and the kids enjoyed seeing the decorations almost as much as they liked watching the belugas swim.

Christmas Town!

Steven decided to pose and poor Jefferson
was dragged into it. Good sport.

Don't worry gang, Eleanor will stop the
abominable snow beast!

The kids were impressed that Sea World
had drawn snowman faces on the lights.

They were REAL elves. They said so, so must be true.

Hey dude.

The girls loves all the ocean decorations
on this tree, and the boys didn't want to be
left out of the picture.

All in all, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around San Diego! And, to close out this post, one last picture. Adelaide receive the Kindness award this month from her school. Each month the school focuses on a different trait. We're so proud of our kind little girl. Extra special, her best friend Lauren was also picked for kindness. Two sweet girls!

A nice group of kids.
