We did a quick drive out to Cedar City this weekend to celebrate Grandma Jones turning 80 years young! It was a long drive, but we are so grateful to live within driving distance so we could spend time with all these amazing people.
The kids watched movies and eventually fell asleep. Steven, who usually nods off fine in the car, struggled to fall asleep. He kept insisting he needed "a bed." But, he kept good humor about him, despite being up past midnight.
Mom, turn around and look at my face!
After a good sleep at the air bnb, we went over to help with the party set-up. It was so fun to see everyone. Kristin and Jessica had flown in, and all the cousins were there. It's so rare to get everyone together.
Uncle Wes let the kids have
as many balloons as she wanted.
He was an instant favorite.

The party went on for hours as more and more people that love Grandma Jones kept dropping in. It was so wonderful to meet all the people she'd had such a positive and loving impact on. She's clearly such an important force in the lives of so many.

Aunt Kristin and Aunt Susan came down to say hi!
They were so excited to get flowers.
Flowers! They looked better than they tasted.
After the party, we sent out with Kristin and Jessica to get some Indian food and just enjoy having a family meal together. Then, the next morning we had a quick breakfast at Grandma's before we hit the road. It was a speedy trip, but so fun to see everyone, even if only for a brief couple days.
So fun eating with their Aunts!
Being goofy!
Saying goodbye to Grandma!
