Eleanor's New 'Do

Eleanor surprised us this morning by announcing she wanted to donate her hair. Mom took out the measuring tape and confirmed she had enough to do it.

It was hard for Eleanor to give up her long hair. She loves her hair. She loves pony tails and braids. She loves playing hair salon. And, she loves her curls. When Eleanor was a toddler, her hair grew in large, beautiful curls. But, around four it started coming in thick and straight. So, cutting her hair meant losing all those baby curls.

But, after a sad moment of reflection, she was insistent, there were sick kids who needed wigs, and she was going to help. There is no stopping a determined Eleanor (trust us), so we all piled into the car and headed out to Pigtails & Crewcuts.

Eleanor is already having fun learning all the ways she can style her new short hair. Bows, bows, ribbons and head bands! And, if she is missing her curls, mom gets out the curl formers!

 Bouncy curls!
