The girls' school had half days all week for parent-teacher conferences. So, the PTA sponsored Missoula Children's Theater to come on campus and put on a play with the children.
Last time Adelaide was part of one of Missoula's programs, she was a (very cute) mushroom. This time she landed a role with lines! Lines! She was a Neverland creature, a kangaroo to be precise.
Eleanor auditioned too, but didn't land a role among the kindergarten clouds. This may be, in large part, because she spent much of the audition making friends with the person next to her instead of listening to the directors. Disappointed? Nope. In the words of Eleanor, "I made a new friend, which is better than getting a part." Atta girl.
So, after a week of rehearsals, Adelaide's adoring fan club arrived in full force on to hear her exclaim, "Blimey!" and "I'm going for a walk about" during the production of Wendy and Peter. Eleanor was so excited to clap for Adelaide and all her cloud friends. Jefferson watched the whole thing and even began singing some of the songs on the way home. Steven... well, Steven may have come for the tacos. But, hey, he was totally there.
