Single Parenting

So, the past couple weeks we've been trading off "single parenting." Melinda went to Nashville for a research conference. Hard to tell who had a rougher time... Matt with four kids or Melinda in Nashville, working through the stomach flu (funny how those bugs go around).

Taking the kids to school, like a Dad.

The best toy is a box, always.

 An AMAZING performance.

Almost as quickly as Melinda returned, Matt left town to run an ultra marathon with his buddies Scott, Brent, and Steve... a 55K (34 miler)! The ultra was just outside Zion National Park.

Oh the views!

Conquest complete!

All the finishers together.

While Matt was conquering the red rock, Melinda took the children to the church's primary Easter party. It was Jefferson's first egg hunt. It took him a little while to catch on, but he quickly became an egg collection master.

 A hat? Good guess buddy.

 Steven is ready.

Jefferson figured it out pretty quickly.

Candy for the egg hunt champions.

Not only did Matt survive his ultra marathon last weekend, he also survived taking two, two-year-olds to the church's Father-Son camp out this weekend. Super man! Steven wasn't a fan of sleeping in a tent until he got to snuggle his Daddy.

Big boys in the tent with Daddy!

Pancakes for breakfast! Yay!

And, now it's Melinda's turn to fly solo again, with Matt out of town for the next week. The house is a mess, and the kids are eating a lot of mac n' cheese, but life is good.
