Guy Fleming Trail

So... yesterday was a pretty crazy day. We had every intention of making today a "rest" day. But, the thing about rest days with four kids... they aren't so restful. We gave up on that idea pretty quickly.

After our not so great flower hike a couples weeks ago, we decided to try again. Melinda strapped recovering Jefferson into a carrier on his back. He cried, "Yay!" when he saw it, cuddled up, and took a nap. Being held all day was just what he wanted. And, the other three... they just wanted to run around.

The Guy Fleming Trail did not disappoint. So many different types of flowers! The girls were enchanted. Steven was less thrilled about the flowers, but fortunately, there were also sticks. What two year old boy doesn't love dangerously waving sticks at everyone? Fabulous.

The girls were excited to pose
with just about every flower on the trail
They thought each one was sooo beautiful.

Jefferson, happy to be attached to Mommy.

 Morning Glories

 So many beautiful poppies!

Prettier than the flowers.
