Memorial Day Weekend

Three day weekend! An extra day to play with the kids!

Steven had a visit to the sister salon. One day, he
may hate this pic, but he sure does love copying them now.

Super Eleanor! Friday was
super hero day at preschool.

On Saturday we took the kids to San Juan Capistrano. They had a really great time listening to the children's tour, looking at old stone church ruins, waving at the koi fish and making arrowhead necklaces.

It may feel like spring all year in San Diego,
but you really know it's spring when the
Jacaranda trees are in full bloom.

This one is frame worthy! Wandering around the mission.

Making arrowhead necklaces.

The kids had a blast at San Juan Capistrano. We've taken them to missions before, and generally drag them reluctantly through the tours. But, this time, they really had a great time and have been asking to go back all weekend. But, we managed to keep the fun going.

 Blanket Fort!

On Monday, we took the kids to the Zoo. We got there right as it opened, so were able to jump on the Skyfari without a long wait. The girls were nervous about going up at first, but they really enjoyed feeling like birds, high above the zoo.

Bird's Eye view from the Skyfari.

Big smiles - I can see Balboa Park!

One more Skyfari photo. Boy selfie!

We told her to make a panda face.

Steven's panda face is a little more chill.

My other car is a saber tooth tiger.

Finishing the weekend with frozen yogurt, yum!

An extra day with the kids is always the best! So many fun things to do, and with such fun little people.
