Happy Easter!

It's Easter! That means we're breaking out the eggs... hard boiled eggs, plastic eggs, chocolate eggs. Eggs, eggs, eggs...

Artists hard at work.

Steven didn't think much of colored water he couldn't stick his hand in, or spherical objects Mom and Dad would't let him throw. But, he enjoyed a snack break.

Peanuts!

The next morning, they got to see their eggs in use, and the girls even helped Mommy turn them into deviled eggs. Yum! They were excited to come down and find some small baskets with soap and bath scrubbers in them (functional, yet fun).

Happy Easter!

Mmm... bunny shaped biscuits.

Eleanor told him he needed
an Easter bonnet.

New fireplace pic - fancy Easter duds!

After church, we headed over to Granny and Papa's house for an Easter Egg hunt and delicious Easter dinner. This year, we color coded the plastic eggs. That allowed us to put Steven's eggs on the ground for easy pickin'. And, the girls could have varying levels of difficulty.

Steven thought filling his basket was a blast, and it got even better when he learned their was candy in those green eggs!

First egg hunt was a success!

And, he made short work of his eggs!

Like Steven, Eleanor was quick to dive into the candy, happily munching through her collection of jellybeans and chocolate. Adelaide was the only one to ration her candy out, like the thoughtful,  forward thinking young woman she is.

Found one!

A happy little candy bunny.

Sorting, counting, organizing...

 After organizing her candy,
she made sure to share too.

Jellybeans, Papa?

Easter was a lot of fun! It gives us so much joy to see the kids filled with anticipation, enjoying the excitement and bouncing off the walls with happiness at all that is interesting and new. And, spending the afternoon with family couldn't have been a better way to celebrate.
