Farewell to Canyon Lake

Melinda's parents are selling their home in Canyon Lake. After nearly ten years in Washington, they are finally cutting ties with the golden state.

So, we drove right on up and paraded their grandkids in front of them, just to make it EXTRA hard for them to go. But, they displayed an iron will - even in the face of all that cuteness.

So, we resigned ourselves to helping clean up the house and move things out for the yard sale. Boohoo.

Here's a little girl
that adores her grandpa.

One last time chasing the oranges Daddy
threw down from the tree.

Eleanor took to one of Melinda's
old dolls and carried her around
in Steven's carrier all weekend.

Grandma snuggles.

It was fun to see Grandma and Grandpa, and fun digging through boxes of old pictures, toys and memories to share with the kids. The clean up and yard sale was a huge success! We hope the house sells quickly so Grandma and Grandpa will come down and visit again soon.

After a long weekend working (for Matt) and playing (the kids), we wrapped it up with a nice trip to our neighborhood hot tub, one of the kids' favorite spots.

It's a wrap!

We'll miss being able to crash Grandma and Grandpa's lake house, and begging them to come down on holidays. But, we did snatch a fondu pot from the garage sale pile. It's the little things, right?

Cheese!
