Shortly before our trip to Universal, Melinda put in her two week's notice with Infantino. After six years, she'd learned a lot and made many great memories. But, it was time to move on. In September she'll be joining a new team as the Marketing Director of tech-start up GoShare.
As usual, the first week of school for the girls is a pre-school in-service week for the boys. So, Melinda timed her job to start later, so she could hang out with Jefferson and Steven all week. The boys were SO excited to spend a week with Mom. SO EXCITED. Little did they know it would involve so much grocery shopping, doctor's appointments, and even a stop at the DMV.
And, poor Jefferson had to have eight cavities filled. This is on top of four we had filled last year. (Yes, he does own a toothbrush, we're still working through problems from poor dental care in China). Finally, after getting so many errands finished in the first part of the week, and after Jefferson could chew again, Melinda took the boys out to Sea World and Legoland for a little fun.

Floating around Fairytale Brook
This one likes to zoom.
This one likes to cruise.
As Steven would say, "Nee-haw!"
Ready to gallop.
Checking out Sharks
and Dolphins!
Bros in a plane
Feeding the seals
Even on "boring" days when Melinda dragged them on errands, the boys still enjoyed having fun lunches. Vegetables taste better when they are cut in the form of a rocket or robot head.
Rocket snacks and a smoothie.
Couldn't quite get our smile and monster
face poses going at the same time...
Switch
These were frogs... the boys rolled with it.
Toward the end of the week, they insisted Mom use
less cucumber in the decorating.
It was a fun week, and the boys even enjoyed the dull days. They are excited to go back to school, and even more excited not to have to eat cucumber for a while.
