The Highs and Lows of being Eleanor

Eleanor is already getting excited for 1st grade... there are so many things to prepare! New shoes for her growing feet, a new lunch box as hers was falling apart.

And, at Target, we found the most "Eleanor" lunchbox of all time. It's sparkly, shiny, fuzzy and PINK! Oh, and did we mention it was a unicorn. She couldn't have been more excited.

So ready for school lunches!

Eleanor's ready for friends, art, PE, and more! But, one thing she's not looking forward is the classwork part. Mom has been enforcing summer reading. Ugh! The worst.

Shortly after we came home with the unicorn lunch box, Melinda asked Eleanor to go get a book for reading time. Her posture dropped and she called out, "Alexa, play SAD music!" Then, she laid down like this in the living room, allowing the sad music to wash over her. She stayed there so long she fell asleep. And, dang mom still made her read when she woke up. Moms!

Saddest of the sad
