When we heard there was a Guacamole Bowl in Balboa Park this weekend, our family was all in. We bought our bags of chip as admission and got to taste testing. The contestants included the fire department, border patrol, police, national guard, many restaurants, and some adventurous independent entries.
Many contestants went all out with the decor.

The best part? Not only did we get all the guac we could eat, all the proceeds went to support Sports for Exceptional Athletes, a not-for-profit that creates sporting opportunities for athletes with developmental disabilities. Guac for good! Delicious.
