The girls always love celebrating Chinese New Year, and telling their brothers all about China. The boys don't really understand yet. But, they love noodles. And, they really, really liked the paper dragon Mom put in the dining room. So, they were happy to go along for the ride.

Barnard Asian Pacific Languages Academy hosted several events, including class performances and their annual CNY fair. Since this was the year of the rooster, they had a small pen of chickens. The chicken were probably the boys favorite part. They could have spent all afternoon sqwaking at the chickens and trying to feed them pebbles (sorry chickens).

At the school fair, this sign fell on Eleanor
and gave her a nasty cut on the chin.
She was double sad because her face hurt
and she didn't get a Kung Fu Panda picture.
With better anchoring at this fair,
she was finally able to get her shot.
Someone brought their pet chicken
to the festival in a stroller... why? Dunno.
It was awesome though.
Lion faces? Maybe? Eleanor
what are you doing?
Happy New Year Crew!
