The Kinderhouse Montessori end of the year performance was today. The girls were fabulous for reasons all their own.
Adelaide memorized every dance step and practiced over and over. She even sang along while dancing to her '90s song, "What a Feeling." She worked hard and did it perfectly. She was so proud. "Practice makes perfect," - this could be Adelaide's motto in life.
Eleanor's motto is probably more along the lines of "Follow your heart" or "Rules are meant to be broken." Sure the teacher had choreographed steps, sure they had practiced and practiced... But, when the rhythm moves you, you just have to follow your feet. Of course, she stole the show. She abandoned the routine a couple steps in and began breaking it down with her own steps - swishing, spinning, and clapping - totally in her own world and completely immersed in the song. She was hilarious, and brought the house down with laughter.
Matt was out of town at a training seminar so had to enjoy their performances via recording. But Steven and Melinda were front and center in the theater.
Afterward, we celebrated with frozen yogurt and lots and lots of toppings.

Our girls couldn't be more different, or more fabulous. We love them.
