This past weekend we did a quick trip up to Santa Barbara to see Melinda's cousin Jeff and his family. When we were in Provo and newly married, Jeff and Klisa were some of our best buds. Many a night was spent eating leftover cookies from Klisa's job at Smart Cookie while be crushed by Jeff in games of Mad Gab.
After graduation, Jeff and Klisa went to Las Vegas to go to dental and nursing school, while we moved to DC. We've missed having them as neighbors and were so excited to hang out with them and their two boys for the weekend.

The drive up to Santa Barbara was quick and easy. But, on the way back down we got stuck in serious LA traffic. The girls took long naps through part of it, and we bribed them with slurpees for the rest.

It's awesome to live so close to Jeff and Klisa. We look forward to seeing them again soon and often.
