Melinda currently runs the community HOA Facebook page. Well, she will for about another week and a half.
When stuck for pictures about upcoming events, Adelaide and Eleanor are often stand-in models. They are featured on the page quite a bit in association with posts like, "Great turn out at the pool party, " or "There is a new spalsh pad at the Mosaic Shopping district..."
These posts tend to get more likes than the average, "Don't park in your neighbor's parking spot..." posts because the kids are cute. Also, they don't care where you park your car.
But, recently, Adelaide has hit the big time. She's branching out from the little HOA community and moving on to bigger and better pages.
We love a company named Sevenly which sells shirts to benefit new charitable causes every week. We bought Adelaide a shirt one week to support girls' education in Africa. She loves it. Loves to wear it. Loves to tell people that her shirt helped other kids.
Matt took her pictures, and Melinda sent it to the company with a note thanking them for the cool shirt.
They put Adelaide up on their page - 1,400 likes and counting! Their most popular post of the month, we were pretty impressed.
Adelaide, one day kids mights tease you. No one goes through their teenage years unscathed. The world will make you feel like you are inadequate. We hope you can look back at this picture and see how not true that is.
Among the comments you can't see are people saying, how "breathtaking" and "stunning" you are.
No doubt about it, you are a cutie. But, that's not why 1,400 peole liked this picture. It's because the happy sweetness shining through your face, knowing your shirt helped other kids. In fact, you are always looking for ways to help others.
Whether it's asking us to donate your small clothes to kids that don't have any, saying extra prayers for your sister when she doesn't feel good, begging to help Mommy with any chore or giving away all your snack on the playground even when you were hungry because you were more worried about your friends - you are beautiful through and through Adelaide and we love you.
