Happy Mother's Day! Matt and the girls did their best to spoil Melinda this Mother’s Day, starting with lots of hugs and kisses from the girls. Adelaide showered Mommy with custom crayon art, and Eleanor showered everyone with smiles.
Cuddling Up to Mommy on Mother's Day!
The girls, with a little help from their Dad, also got their mommy a brand new chef’s pan to
replace Melinda’s old everything-sticks-no-matter-what-you-do pan. Adelaide even
volunteered to make dinner with the new pan.
Adelaide: I cooking.
Melinda: What are you cooking?
Adelaide: Peacock.
Matt: Oh really? What does peacock taste
like?
Adelaide: Ummm…. Tiger.
Our little girl has exotic tastes.
Unfortunately, we were fresh out of peacock. So Matt took charge of the
cooking, making one of his specialties, goat cheese and sage æbleskivers!
Yummy!
Matt’s mom gave us a sturdy, old cast iron æbleskiver pan shortly
after we were married. So, we’ve enjoyed these yummy Danish pancakes for years.
A couple years ago, they became trendy and Williams and Sonoma started selling
pans, mixes and recipe books. We snagged a book before the fad passed and love
some of the crazy dinner versions. But, we
digress.
Mother’s Day was wonderful, but so is every
day when you’re raising two amazing little girls. And, as an extra Mother’s Day
gift to our moms, here are some more pictures of our girls from our recent trip to the zoo. Because, we know
what the grandmas really want… more of their grandchildren!
Eleanor gets a floor show with her lunch.
Adelaide recognized the flamingos from one of her animal books.
Monkey Face
Okay, not a zoo picture. But, she spent almost
the whole zoo trip sleeping in a carrier.

I seriously love your hair!!!!! cute pics. And we love aebelskivers! we make them all the time! we need to get together!
