Cubicle Calling

Break time is over – back to work!

That’s right, the three months since Eleanor was born have just flown by! Melinda’s maternity leave is up.  Adelaide is so excited to show Eleanor off at daycare. And Melinda… well, she can still have fun on nights and weekends (unless her boss is reading this, in which case: Site replatforming? Yippee!).

Though things were often hectic with Matt’s MBA course load, and there was ongoing sleep deprivation, Melinda and the girls managed to cram a lot of “awesome” into their daily activities over the last few months.

Here are some of our favorite highlights from the last three months:

Our two mischief makers!

Adelaide - Future Harlem Globe Trotter

Taking "Barefoot Contessa" to the next level.

The paint was made from condensed milk,
so she kept licking her masterpieces.

Best hide-and-go-seek spot ever!

Boo!

Melinda will miss nap time.

Ahh!!! Radioactive Easter Eggs!

The world looks nicer through
novelty heart-shaped sunglasses.

Pool Par-tay.

We spent a few hours everyday practicing holding our heads up.

It's good to have friends.

Dad doubles as gymnastic equipment.

Adelaide and Cornelius are taking
the cardboard smart car out for a spin.

Boxes also make great forts.

Hello!

It may look like she's sitting in a bouncer,
but Eleanor is really on a jungle safari.

Bubble machine, what would our afternoons be like without you?
(Boring - that's what!)

Hey Mario - have you seen Eleanor?

CRASH!!!

Sometimes our plans were ambitious...

...really ambitious.

Once yard sale season started, Melinda was able to
scout out some deals to make our backyard into a mini-park.
Great for days when Mommy was to tired to go to the real park.

Don't worry girls, you will continue to have themed
and matching outfits for as long as you
let Mommy get away with putting you in them.

We're all ready for our next adventure! Toddler play groups before nap time or afternoon meetings... Melinda is not sure which are rowdier!

  1. Good luck Melinda! Good thing you're a titan of industry as well at one of the world's funnest moms! Also, I'm pleased to see that Adelaide's judo skills are developing. A girl has to know how to take care of herself.

  2. You are the cutest family known to man! Adelaide has such sneaky sly expressions sometimes. :)
