Clemyjontri Park

Yesterday afternoon, Melinda tried to describe a morning outing to Clemyjontri Park to her parents via phone. Words failed her… “really big park” didn’t seem to quite do it. Maybe, “Disneyland for toddlers,” without the lines and entry fee, of course.

Adelaide also struggled to find words to express her delight on her first trip to this local mega-park. She spent the first half hour shrieking with joy and giggling. We did hear the occasional “More!” as her pumping little legs took her further and further into a park that, to someone under three feet tall, must have seemed endless.

Well, when words won’t do, a photo montage must suffice.

Behold, Clemyjontri - a 2-Acre Kiddie-Wonderland!
(No, we didn't take this. We stole it from the internet.)

Slides are Adelaide's absolute favorite.
And, there were dozens of them!

A little music to play by...

Adelaide had a hard time deciding on which bouncy toy to ride.
She kept ping-ponging between the butterfly,
motorcycle, dinosaur, rainbow dolphin, and car.

Adelaide and Ryan share a bouncy car ride.
Ryan is the daughter of one of Matt's co-workers.

Can't quite reach the drums yet,
but we rocked out on the shakers.

Vrrrooom... Vrooom...

Don't forget the carousel. They are going very fast -
you can tell by the horse's mane.

Excited to give the "ball" a hug.

Kicking back in the La-Z-Boy of swings.
(Park is 100% accessible for handicap children,
so there are lots of swings like this
as well as ramps to all the play structures)

After an hour and a half of running around, we loaded one thoroughly exhausted little girl back into the car. As Adelaide left the park mommy's shoulder, too tired to even pick up her head, she reached back weakly with a little hand and whispered, "More, more..." Fortunately, this park is only 15 minutes away, so there will be lots "more" in her future.

  5. I started planning my trip to this park and then I realized that you live across the country. Darn! It looks like a blast!! I love that she wanted more even while completely exhausted.
