One of our favorite hymns proclaims, “Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: ‘I know that my Redeemer lives!” And, that’s what we feel this Easter morning. There is sweet joy in reading the Easter story, and hearing the angel proclaim, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:5–6).
We’d love to get this post started off with the iconic Greg Olsen masterpiece, He is Risen - with stone of the tomb rolled back and the resurrected Christ comforting Mary... But, being that it’s the anniversary of our savior’s resurrection, we feel it would be wildly inappropriate to engage in unlicensed distribution and display of copyrighted work. So… here’s a picture of our favorite Easter bunny instead.
Hippity, Hoppity!
With the exception of the new poofy dress that Mom won’t let her chew on or rip off, Adelaide has enjoyed her Easter morning quite a bit. Her plastic eggs were hidden sneakily in the middle of the living room floor (filled with Gerber puffs). And, her little Easter basket had a bottle of bubbles in it for Dad to blow with her.
Ah-ha!
Matt and Melinda also engaged in some Easter festivities, dying a dozen eggs in rainbow colors. From previous posts, you may remember that we consider ourselves pumpkin carving ninjas. Not so with Easter eggs. We’d be lucky to pass them off even as “modern art.” But, it was still fun.
