It will be talked about for years to come. Like Super Bowl XXIII, or the 1955 World Series…this is the stuff of legends. The most exciting sporting event ever to hit our living room – The Great Baby Egg Hunt of 2011!
Representing the home team, coming in at 30 inches and 21 pounds – Adelaide!
A little pre-game work out on the play table.
From the visiting team, coming in at roughly the same as Adelaide – Olivia (Melinda's cousin)!
This is Olivia's game face.
The opponents engaged in the customary pre-game back and forth, though mostly on the swing set. Their vocab is a little too limited for smack talking. Then it was time for the main event. A small portion of this RIVOTING competition can be view below.
Whew! Intense!
It was a close competition. We’re pretty sure Olivia thought it was a baseball game instead of an egg hunt, because she wracked up at least a dozen “steals” on Adelaide.
She spots an opportunity...
...and makes her move!
SNATCH - a successful egg heist!
Adelaide didn’t put up much of a defense against Olivia’s excellent sneak attacks, but she did manage to score some points by being the first and only baby to break open an egg, revealing the hidden Gerber Puffs (much to her shock and confusion).
In the end, we had to call it a tie. Really, when you have two babies this cute, everyone wins!
Thanks to the Parkers and their cute baby for playing our games and having Easter dinner with us.
I think it's hilarious that Darcy has the exact same excersaucer and busy table as Adelaide!
ReplyDeletePretty cute. I can hardly stand the intense movie :) She's growing up really fast.
ReplyDeleteFun times for baby and family to share. Glad it was fun. Adorable babies as usual!
