After a month of fun Halloween-themed events, finally the big day arrived. At school, the kids were encouraged to dress as a favorite literary character for a Storybook parade. Eleanor grabbed our costume box's Hermione robe and decided to match with Adelaide in her Hufflepuff robes.

We paired up with Evelyn and Lauren for another great year of Trick or Treating. There was haunted walkways, cheerful pumpkins, and candy galore.
Team Trick or Treat
In preparation for Halloween, Eleanor wrote a pretty amazing story that was nothing short of awesome. Please note the time she took to use fancy scissors to trim the edges.
The Trap Door in the Haunted House
By Eleanor Jensen
Once upon a time there was a witch. She
went into a haunted house and she
fell into a trap door. Aaaaaahhh CHOMP CHOMP
A shark ate her up!
Eleanor tells us this is EXTRA funny because there was no water, so it was a ghost shark. This is probably the best Halloween story every written.
Melinda had everyone ready to make dinner in a pumpkin for Halloween. But, with a hurried evening, that was a little ambitious. So, we had our dinner in a pumpkin the day after. Still tasted good.
Yum!
