Steven is four! Four years old! Our brave, smart, funny, sweet, charming little dude is four! After much thought (maybe a whole ten seconds), Steven decided he wanted a super hero party.
We got the party ready for him by letting Spider Man attack his door. Eleanor helped by putting some kind notes behind the "webs."

Waiting to catch a birthday boy.
After Steven broke through his webs (at super speed!), he was delighted to find that all the Avengers had come out to celebrate with him. He especially loved the "Hulk Smash!" cake.
FOUR!
Thor is ready to Party!
Because Steven and Jefferson have birthdays so close to each other, we let them open presents together. They could barely wait until after breakfast to start tearing off the wrapping paper.
HULK SMASH!
DISNEY! Jefferson loves everything Disney.
Playing with mini-train sets from Mom and Dad.
I love you Spider Man!
Steven is a puzzle pro.
After presents, we took the boys out to Balboa Park for a trip to the Miniature Train museum. Mom also dragged them through the Japanese Gardens while we waited for the train museum to open up. Sheesh, even on your birthday moms can make you do some lame stuff.
Gamora came too!
Adelaide enjoyed the ponds in the garden.
Eleanor liked the blossoms.
Steven liked running ahead and pretending
he couldn't hear us telling him to come back.
Jefferson liked nothing. Where are
my trains???
Hanging out on the bridge.
Mom and Girls
Waiting in the trolley care
for the museum to open up.
TRAIN!
Boys are mesmerized.
In the center of Balboa Park, there was a street fair for Cinco de Mayo. The boys enjoyed coloring some masks, and then insisted on wearing their skeleton faces for the next few hours.
Just like Coco!
Nope, that's not creepy.
Finally, home for naps and then Birthday cake! Happy Birthday Steven! We feel so lucky that we get to celebrate your birthdays, and every day with you.
Flames...
Extinguished.
