Memorial Day Fun

We wrapped up the month a flurry of fun activities. We played hard, we napped hard. Well, at least the boys did. Parents don't get to nap... which is a crime.

Last weekend we visited our old standby Legoland, because it's still the boys' birthday month and they totally needed "It's my birthday" pins for their shirts.

 Jefferson, communing with the rabbit.

 Time to cruise

When you are three you are old enough to
drive...well, crash the cars.

Show 'em how it's done Eleanor.

 Check out that birthday button!

Aren't you a little short to be a storm trooper...
umm lego knight?

This weekend we visited the Three Treasure's Children's Fair. Adelaide performed with her hula group and then we got to do all the activities. Activities that included petting fluffy, fluffy bunnies. Happy times!

 It's so soft!

 Eleanor, Queen of the Balloonlanders...

...and benefactor of all things small and fuzzy.

Adelaide sped up the rock wall,
being the first kid of the day to ring the bell.

Olaf balloon!

I a Batman Balloon.

They are pulling off this look.

And, what would Memorial Day be without a trip to the pool?  We finished off Saturday cooling off in the neighborhood pool.

Watermelon! Yum.

Wait for me Ad-dade!

Whew, in position for the photo bomb.

Hello handsome

On Monday, we used our Check it Out Library Pass to visit the Museum of Art. We thought it might be fun. The kids thought we were crazy. Looking at pictures, fun? To make it up to them, we dropped in on the National History Museum too. Statues of dinosaurs... way more interesting. We swear, the boys were with us a both locations, but due to the misery of being forced to walk through an art museum and not being allowed to knock any Monet's off the wall, they are not pictured.

Modern Art? The girls didn't get it.

Now this one looks like something real.

As a special treat, a bag of rocks
from the Natural History Museum.

Hugging her precious rocks.

So many pretty rocks!

We crammed in a lot of fun, and not a lot of grocery shopping. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. There will be sandwiches tomorrow. What a fun end to a fun month.
