One of the nice parts about living in San Diego is living near Melinda's grandparents. They are traveled, wise, wonderful and fun. We love to visit them and so does nearly everyone else in the family. Because we're here too, that means they all usually visit us as well when they come, you know, because grandma raised them all with good manners. So, we're pretty much vacation crashers, crashing everyone's visits to see Phil, Mikki and Thomas.
Whose vacation did we crash this week? Aunt Sally was down with Jeff and Klisa's boys (while they drove a U-Haul to Utah) and the Porters were in town, all having an extended layover before heading off to a Hawaiian Christmas.
So many cousins! The Jensen kids were beyond excited about this weekend. Friday night - dinner. Saturday - Legloand and dinner at Fidels. Sunday - Jefferson's blessing at church. Monday night - lights at the temple. Could we have packed more fun into such a few short days?
Get ready for about a hundred pictures (okay, okay, just nineteen)!

Eleanor was in the "baby zone"
and wanted to hold Kapena
at every opportunity.
Because we were short on adults
Adelaide got to drive her own boat,
and only got turned around once. So proud!
Poor Tanner and Jameson couldn't
figure out the gas pedal. Eventually our
wayward boaters made it back to the dock.
Group shot! (Our boys were sleeping.)
Uncle Lincoln pushing all the tired kids
around after lunch.
Look at all those fun people!
And there's more!
Matt and Lincoln went on a carnival
game domination streak - to the delight of the kids.
But, the days biggest prize goes to Leila,
who attracted a giant crowd as she climbed the twisty rope
ladder on the first try and walked away with a giant pink smiley face.
Somehow they manager to squish in back
there with all their prizes.
We felt so blessed that everyone was able to
come support Jefferson's baby blessing at church.
Family shot!
After the blessing, everyone came over to our place
for sandwiches and crafts. Wouldn't you like to sit
at the girls' table? This is an awesome table.
Action shot - food in motion.
Making gingerbread house door hangers.
Jameson was so sweet, helping everyone younger
than him peel their stickers.
After work/school on Monday we met up
with everyone at the temple to see the lights and
say a final farewell.
These two "light up" our lives.
Get it?
Jeff, Joe and Klisa were back from their U-haul
adventure - so we were able to get this
sweet snap of three dudes with sweet beards.
Adelaide did her best to convince Aunt
Klisa to move to San Diego and
let her be Macie's big sister.
Eleanor realized Kapena was going to leave her,
so just asked us to get her a baby for her birthday...
What a weekend, so much fun. Mele Kalikimaka Plickas and Porters. We hope the rest of your vacation is just as exciting! Thanks for letting us crash this part of it.
