We have so much to be grateful for this year. Four wonderful children. Matt's new job. Melinda's grad school program. Great schools for the kids. A warm and comfortable home. Thanksgiving is always such a wonderful time to pause and reflect.
The weather is finally cooling down. You know, light sweaters, nothing extreme or anything.
Which means we got this cute picture of a snuggly Eleanor.
Snuggly Eleanor
Jefferson is now going to preschool with Steven and Eleanor, which he is very excited about. No more spending the days at doctor's offices with Mom. Playing with brother all day is way better. WAY better. Melinda was able to use the last week of her maternity leave to get ahead on grad school work and do some volunteering at Adelaide's school.

Melinda helped out at the Jog-a-thon.
She scored a free pumpkin, dragon fruit,
cookbook and bag at the store! We need
to take Adelaide shopping more often.
Last weekend, Melinda's Uncle David was baptized. It was such a moving, and wonderful event. We were honored to be able to attend. The kids thought it was amazing. Sally and Joe came down, and Jeff and Klisa were able to come with their kids too. We didn't take nearly enough, or hardly any pictures. But, here's what we snapped.

Eleanor and baby Macie. Eleanor
was SO sad when the baby left.
Of course, Thanksgiving day was a feast to end all feasts. Jefferson was in heaven. The abundance of food is his favorite thing about living at our house. Uncle David, the LDS missionaries, and Granny and Papa joined us at our home for turkey and triple-decker pie!

Granny brought the kids snowman cookies!
Jefferson hid in the corner to eat
his stealthily... lest anyone try to
steal his yummy treat.
But, Uncle David found Steven
hiding out in the playhouse.
Triple decker pie - Pecan, pumpkin, apple.
This recipe was a winner!
Mmmm... Pie and Ice Cream.
