Our First Tooth Fairy Visit!

It seems only yesterday that Adelaide was just getting her first tooth. And now, she's starting to lose them!

Last night that first baby tooth finally popped out! And, we say finally because that sucker was really stuck in there. And, by popped... we mean Melinda had to yank it out with gauze and heavy-duty tweezers after it died and turned gray because it had been in there too long. Poor Adelaide.

But, she faced her living room extraction bravely, knowing that the tooth fairy will pay you for your tooth, even if it's a little gray and dead looking. We assured her that gray tooth had the same going rates as white ones.

Anyhow, Adelaide is ever our organized and efficient girl. She hung a sign to make sure the tooth fairy would know exactly where to find her and the tooth.

"I Love Tooth Girl"
(And, we love your new grin, Adelaide.)

Fortunately for Adelaide, the tooth fair is well acquainted with the location of her pillow, having tucked her in many times before. And, he went to the bank a couple weeks ago and got a whole roll of golden dollar coins, and polished them too, so he was ready.

Alas, he doesn't have wings... not that Melinda didn't try to get him to wear them... you know, just in case the girls woke up and he had to bluff his way out! Fortunately, Tooth Fairy Dads are stealthy like ninjas, so she never woke up.

Mission Accomplished!
