Easter Egg Hunts, Bubbles and Carrot Flowers

Since it's General Conference this weekend, we were able to enjoy a beautiful Easter message from the comfort of the couch... while Adelaide counted her eggs and Eleanor cheerfully (and alarmingly quickly) decimated her candy supply.

The morning started with a Jensen first, an Easter Egg Hunt in our own backyard! Our ever-green lawn was up for the challenge. There was lots of giggles and running about as the kids gathered their plastic prizes. They were also delighted to find two bubble guns hidden among the foliage. Those have been hours of fun already.

The successful egg hunters.

"We're making bubble land!"

After General Conference (and post-candy high naps), Grandma Mikki, Grandpa Phil, Jed and Eve all came to join us for Easter dinner. We've almost been in San Diego for two years, but as still so surprised and grateful that we can share holidays with family members that aren't a plane ride away!

Melinda and Adelaide spent the napping hours playing with our food (because it tastes better when it has fun shapes!). Of course, we completely forgot to take pictures of the family... but did not forget to document the food. Oops...

Grandpa Phil, "My favorite part is that each
one has a different expression."

Carrot flowers and Matt's amazing homemade humus.

Did you know they make vegan cream cheese?
It tastes amazing... so did this vegan carrot
cake with "cream cheese" frosting.

Eleanor continuing the long standing
family tradition of giving her fingers
olive hats.

It was a beautiful, sunny, amazing day with family and we are so grateful that we've got these fun little ones in our lives for now and forever. Happy Easter!
