An Update From China

When we got our letter of approval from the Chinese government, setting in motion a flurry of immigration paperwork, visa approvals, and more. Nothing is simple, but it is all so worth it.

Our adoption agency reached out to the orphanage to let them know about the pending adoption. At the time, we sent several questions and a request for more pictures and updates. We were warned that some adoption agencies never answer, but it can't hurt to ask.

Today, we were so excited, to receive three new pictures a full update on Steven!

Look at that smile!

All bundled up with one of his nannies.

We need to find one of these
sweet fuzzy hats for home.

We feel so blessed. In January, around the time we sent in our request to lock his file, Steven was moved out of the orphanage and to a loving foster home. With focus, attention and care, he is blossoming. He crawls, he's starting to pull up on furniture, he smiles, laughs and can say, "Nai Nai" or "Grandma."

We can't wait to meet him. Adelaide sings songs to his pictures and Eleanor stacks toys in his room. Melinda just frets all the time, and Matt has set up the crib.

With all this paperwork, we probably don't get to pick him up until late April or May. It can't come soon enough!
