Most weekends we like to spend jaunting around the area, taking in the sites of DC or forcing our children to appreciate nature and pet fluffy bunny rabbits - leaving our tomato plants and azalea bushes to completely fend for themselves.
But, now that we're selling our beloved home, we spent the last couple weekends FINALLY getting around to all those things we've been meaning to do for the last six years... touching up the paint where a chair rubbed the wall, painting the trim in the basement, organizing our closets, pruning the fig tree...
And now, after a bit of spit and polish, the house has been listed on the market. It went on the market Friday and there will be an open house tomorrow from 1 - 4 pm.
Now, for those of you who can't make it because you live too far way (excuses, excuses) and want to covet our spiffy green powder room, we're posting pictures here. This is also a good chance for those of you that always meant to visit but never did, and have only seen glimpses of our home on skype (Jed and Eve, we're looking at you), to pretend you are finally living your dream of hanging with us in DC. Because, alas, it will only ever be a dream. We're on our way outta town.
There it is folks. Better make your offers quick. The figs are ripe on the tree and Melinda will eat them all if you don't hurry.
