When Eleanor was little, or rather littler than she is now, we used to take a lot of pictures of her and Adelaide together. Adelaide loved holding Eleanor, and Eleanor loved to snuggle. So many perfect photo moments. Then Eleanor learned to crawl and climb and cruise... Eleanor's adventurous spirit will not be denied. (Troublemaker. She's an adorable, wonderful little troublemaker.)
Adelaide and Eleanor still love being together all the time, but there are fewer snuggles and a lot more chases, tickles and bounce parties. Melinda continues to try take more photos of the two of them in the hopes of having some worthy of framing. But, the girls don't make it easy.

We'll just call this one a FLOP.

Waving bye to Dad, standing still, smiling,
if only the camera was on the other side of the window.
Dad's holding them down and we bribed them with milk to stay still.
Santa PJs in January? Why not.
Oh well... we'll keep trying. This was kind of a slow month for the Jensens. Melinda had big plans for going to the inauguration parade rehearsal and a Chinese New Year festival. But, we were laid low by the norovirus (stomach flu) that's been going around.
One of many trips to the pediatrician.
The mask wasn't needed, she just likes accessorizing.
In poor Eleanor, the 48 hour stomach bug triggered a case of massive acid reflux and she struggled to hold her food down for a week and a half. Poor little girl. Thankfully, our flu shots for the seasonal flu still seem to be holding, so there is that silver lining.
Even when you are sick and tired,
sitting in a box is still a tons of fun.
Melinda, who is somewhat infamous for clumsy accidents, crawled into a doorframe while chasing Eleanor and gave herself a concussion on Monday of this week. Sheesh. She's still a little slow and more forgetful than normal, but recovering well. And, we have some nice digital images of her brain courtesy of the urgent care facility.
While we've been stuck around the house recovering from this and that, we tried to fit in some fun.
Super Adelaide!
Everyone has been having lots of fun with
the juicer Mom brought home from work. It's
one of her latest projects.

"I'm going to eat the cookies...
and share them with Daddy."
One day it's snowing...
The next it's in the 60s.
(It's snowing again, as we type this.)
Despite all the queasy tummies and bonked heads, it's been a good month. We love being a family and just being together - even if together means doing laundry and drinking Pedialyte at 3 am in the morning. In case you are curious, the orange fruit punch flavor is the best by far.
