Tresses and Tractors

We’ve been putting off Adelaide’s first haircut for a while. But, her silky blonde locks are too slippery to stay in hair clips and bands for long. And, all that escaped hair hanging in her face is starting to become a vision impediment.

After much deliberation, we decided no amount of candy, bribery, or iPad games would keep Adelaide still in a professional salon. Not when a stranger was coming at her with scissors. So, we thought we’d take a crack at it ourselves.

Everything was going great! Adelaide was enjoying watching her favorite YouTube video over and over and over… while Melinda trimmed things up. Then, the video stopped. Adelaide turned her head to ask Mom to fix it and SNIP! Ooops… off comes several inches of hair. Time to PANIC.

Ahem…

Time for the calmer and less dramatic parent to take over.

Dad to the rescue!

Fortunately for Adelaide – Matt is an experienced hair stylist. He was the go-to barber for all his mission companions and college roommates. Little girl hair was a new challenge – but after reading a quick online tutorial, Matt was able to give Adelaide a very fashionable little bob.

Cute as a button!

As a reward for being so good during hair styling overtime – we took Adelaide to Frying Pan Park to see the new lambs and piglets.

Toddler-sized tractors! Adelaide didn't want to leave.

Through out it all, Eleanor did a lot of this...

Being adorable is so exhausting...zzzzzzzzz
