It's the Final Countdown

We're in the final countdown until Baby #2 arrives! Melinda's due date isn't until 2/29. But, the doctors have informed us that, if we want another holiday baby, it would be more realistic to shoot for Valentine's Day or President's Day. All signs point to this little girl being on her way out!

This pregnancy has been quite the change from Melinda's last one.

On the left we have Pregnancy #1. On the right is Pregnancy #2.
What's the difference? Well, more than 20 pounds...
...and ankles. This time Melinda has ankles.

The major driver behind the reduced size this time around is the low amniotic fluid. Fortunately, the baby has decided to ignore the lack of space and is developing like nothing is amiss. While she doesn't look to be as big as her sister was, she's still tracking above average for height/weight. How she fits in there, we can't fathom. But, we're excited to get her out here so we can offer our congratulations on her prenatal mastery of yoga.

...

Yep, that was the whole post. All you got were pictures of boring, ol' Melinda. What? Wow. We can hear the grandparents booing us all the way from the west coast. Okay, okay. Here's your cute granddaughter. She doesn't hold still for pictures - but what toddler does? Enjoy!

Laughing because Mommy
put a big felt dahlia in her hair.
Hair-larious!

Telling Mommy to put a flower in
her hair too! Alas, there weren't
enough flowers for Daddy.

  3. I am lovin' this! Extremely pregnant Melinda is more than enough incentive to read Everything Jensen. Throw in a few felt flowers and the Webby Awards committee will be beating down your virtual door.

  4. You are a cute pregnant lady. :) Also, what does this mean? Does it mean they will be inducing you? Does it just mean that you're hoping for an early delivery?

Also, I was much puffier with my first pregnancy. Somehow I, too, had ankles and wrists, and even jawbones during my second pregnancy, except that my tummy was WAY bigger. How is she so big inside such a tiny momma? I mean, you're not tiny, but you're not huge either. :) You are perfect. Just the way you should be. Drink lots of fluid, yadda yadda yadda. Get rest. Eat healthy. Be kind to yourself.

We will be waiting for the good news. Tell us if you're being induced!!!

  5. Right now, the plan is still natural. Doctor's think the baby will come out on her own in less than two weeks. But, I have multiple appointments weekly to monitor her size and my fluid levels. If either starts to look worrisome, they'll induce.

  7. Oh my that is quite the difference. Perhaps and indication of how different your girls will be? I hope with how quick it could come and fluid levels that everything goes smoothly. Keep me in the loop if anything changes. Sending our love.
