Our Christmas Break

It’s the last day of our “Christmas Break.” We’ve really enjoyed relaxing and taking it easy the past week and a half. In just two weeks, Matt flies down to Florida to start his MBA with ten days of on-campus classes (he’ll fly down every three months or so). And, in just eight weeks, we’ve got another little girl joining the family. So, we’re appreciating the free time while we can!

Having Melinda’s folks in town was a lot of fun. We were able to squeeze in some local adventures, home improvement work and lots of quality Grandparent time. Though Jeff and Gale flew home a couple days ago, Adelaide is still asking for Gam-mama and Bump-pa.

Walking to the park. We spent so much time there, Adelaide learned
some new words, "Slide" and "Wheee!"
"Wheee," is the word she has decided means "swing."

Snatch! Adelaide claims Grandpa's hat while he and dad
check out the helicopters at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum.

Adelaide was pretty impressed by the space shuttle.

Guess what's more fun than Christmas toys?
A big recycling bin - of course.

Per our last post - poor Baby Jesus spent a lot of time in the microwave
this week. Adelaide is about to put him on the burners here.

Admiring the view at Great Falls National Park.
Even in the winter, the waterfalls are beautiful!

Matt and Jeff did a lot of work around the house. Unfortunately,
we have no pictures of their labors. But, here is
Adelaide imitating them with her tool box book.

Happy 2012 everyone! We resolve to keep posting on this blog, even if our increased time commitments mean that our posts become pretty abbreviated. Oh heck, who could be brief with a cute newborn to talk about? We'll probably continue to wax on and on....

  2. Please wax on and on. . . I love the updates. And, yes, I did get here from facebook from an earlier post where the link is still intact.

Does that mean I need to make another blanket/quilt?
