Time to Baby Proof...

Normally, we try to space these blog posts out a little bit. Too much of a good thing and all that... But, we have a momentous event to announce. Adelaide is crawling!

She's been teetering on the edge of mobility for a couple weeks now. But, this morning, she finally did it. Adelaide was playing with her toys on the floor while Melinda was typing up the post on the zoo trip. Frustrated that Mommy's full attention wasn't on her, Adelaide got up on her hands and knees and started toward Mom. It was slow, it was shaky, but she made it all the way across the room. Adelaide was pretty giggly and thrilled with herself once she reached a now fully-attentive Mommy.

She's being a bit shy about showing off her new trick on camera, but Melinda managed to get this filmed through much persistence and a little help from a toy guitar.

  4. Congrats Adelaide! What's that like having a crawling baby? I think Darcy is now in the teetering phase as well.
Darcy has some bongo drums! They could form a July Baby band!

  6. I used to joke with my friends that I should hire my kids out to show them what things they need to remove/move/lock up so their babies don't get into them.

    So awesome!
