This is our third Mormon Battalion Day in San Diego, and the kids are starting to look forward to their pioneer dolls, rope tying, and root beers. This year Matt skipped the dutch oven cook off so he could have a turn hauling the kids around in hand carts. Yee haw.
Mush Daddy! Mush!
Ready to protect the wagon.
His head will grow into that hat.
This one was too big to pull,
but they loved climbing all over it.
Eleanor and Adelaide took over
the picture taking.
The kids did all their favorites. Roasting biscuits and covering them in honey. Playing with simple toys, singing along to the songs, and finishing it all off with root beer.
Yum... Biscuits on a stick.
It took a while, but they figured
the spinners out.
Just making some rope.
Yummm... Root beer.
