Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery

The last trip we made to the Pacific North West, we enjoyed touring the fish ladders at the Bonneville Dam and local fish hatchery. At the time, Adelaide was younger than the boys. So, another visit was long over due.

Look! A fish!

Of all the kids, Steven was the most
fascinated by the fish ladders. He announced
he wanted to cut the fish, cook them, and eat them.

Checking out the baby fish at the hatchery.

 Jefferson approves of small fish.

Feeding the fish. Steven threw in handfuls,
Jefferson did it one at a time.
Adelaide and Eleanor were somewhere in between.

Grandparents and their kiddos

Melinda and Matt without the kiddos?

Not for long! The monkeys are back.

 Wiped out before we even
pulled out of the hatchery parking lot.

The boys didn't stay down and out for long. After a quick nap, they were ready to go again. So, when Eve got off of work she and Jed showed us their favorite local beach. A river shore with soft white sand. Unfortunately, Melinda failed to bring the kids' swimsuits. But, that didn't stop Eleanor.

Can I dip my feet in?

Jump!

SPLASH!

Hooray!

 Soaked.

It didn't take long for the boys to follow her in. Happy, splashy. Brave Aunt Eve waded in to watch them. Adelaide decided to stay on shore with mom and avoid getting soaked.

 Playing 'til the sun set.

Oh, and Steven found a stick.
He named it alligator. Alligator
was a good stick.
