Mommy Date

Next week, Melinda starts her grad school program with Purdue. So, for the next 20 months, things will be a little extra busy. But, really, what's new?

So, before Mommy buries herself in text books, the Jensen girls all went out for a group date. Melinda took the girls to the "salon" for the Princess Package. Hair was trimmed and styled, nails were painted and they were even given their own bags of make up with eye shadow and lip gloss.

The girls felt GLAMOROUS. They loved having their hair wrapped up in towels (like mommy does! - who knew I was so cool?). And, they were so excited to pick all their accessory colors and watch "Frozen" while they were pampered.

Picking colors for Eleanor was easy.
Nail polish? Pink! Lip Gloss? Pink! Eye Shadow? Pink!
Hair? Pink! Out of Pink? Purple!

Adelaide agonized over her choices, before picking all blue.
She spent an extra long time on the shade for her nails.
In the end, she was so pleased with her choices.

Feeling so stylish!

Heart-shaped braids and clip in hair colors - SO fancy.

Eleanor announced as soon as she was done that we needed to get home quickly so she could, "take off my sandals and put on my Cinderella shoes. Because, I look like a princess right now." Yes, yes you do Eleanor.

And, Melinda doesn't regret signing them up for the package that allowed them to bring home their own bags of make-up.... No, not at all.

Eleanor re-applied her lip gloss as soon
as we got home. She looks fabulous, as you can see.
