Today, Matt blessed Steven in church. It was so easy to feel heavenly father's love for our little boy, as the priesthood members laid their hands on his head.
Matt blessed Steven that his natural gifts of friendliness and exuberance would cause people to gravitate toward him. He will be a champion of the gospel and a great missionary, unafraid to stand up for what is right and guided by strong morals.
Steven flashed his 1000-watt smile to everyone in the chapel while he was up front. He was a little bummed to be taken back down to the pews and tried to walk back up to the front several times during the meeting, earning himself a trip outside with Mom. No problem, he just smiled and waved to everyone in the hallway. Can't keep a good man down.

Grandma and Grandpa Jones
sent both girls new dresses, which
they proudly wore to celebrate Steven's day.
After the blessing and church was finished, we got back into birthday mode. Granny, Papa, Jed, Eve and Uncle Dave all came over for dinner to celebrate. Melinda made sourdough pizza crusts for everyone to create their own personal pizzas.
The adults chatted, the girls buzzed around playing with the new toys, and Steven snatched a fistful of cupcake right out of Papa's hand in the most adorable sneak attack we ever saw. It was a fun way to end a fun weekend.
