Home Sweet Home

We're homeowners again!

After months of searching, and several lost bids, we finally closed on a home at the end of July. It's a beautiful 4-bedroom twin home in Sorrento Valley (right between Mira Mesa and Carmel Valley).

Our first home with a garage! Our cars are so excited.

The location is perfect for us, just 5 minutes from the kids' school, 10 minutes from Melinda's work and 15 from Matt's. We don't even have to jump on any overcrowded Southern Californian freeways.

The neighborhood feels a lot like our last location. There is an HOA making sure lawns and driveways are neat and tidy. A community pool and spa is just one block away, and a large park is just across the road from the neighborhood. Perfect!

Hanging at the Pool

Well, now that we are all moved in, time for a party, right? Not quite.

Real estate in San Diego is a bit on the pricey side. And, in order to afford such a fine location, we purchased another fixer upper. We'll put that house warming party on hold for just a moment while we make sure all the toilets are flushing properly. More on that in another post. For now, we are just happy to be settled down in our new home.

A big thanks to Grandma Mikki, Grandpa Phil and Uncle David for helping us move our things. We got most of it over in small trips with all the back and forth we did prior to moving. But, without David's truck, who knows how we would have moved the beds and dining room table over. Thank you!
